GOVERNMENT APPROVES IN MAKING 12 INDUSTRIALSMART CITIES

Union Cabinet takes five big ticket decisions on Wednesday and government approves in making 12 industrial smart cities with an investment of Rs. 28,500 crore under National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP). This procure is the purpose to generate employment of around 12 lakh direct jobs and 20 lakh indirect jobs. “India is to set to build world class greenfield industrial smart cities with “plug-n-play” and “walk-to-work” concepts. These projects aim to create robust and sustainable infrastructure, fostering investments and promoting balanced regional development” stated Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs (CCEA).

Designed to promote an industrial ecosystem targeting to gain $2 million in exports within 2030. NICDP is a takeover that aimed to attract investments from both large industries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
